Examines how health, illness, and health utilization are distributed within a population. Particular emphasis is given to the relationship between health and bio-social and socio-cultural characteristics of populations. Introduction to the major theories of medical demography and the application of demographic methods to the study of health. Emphasis on cross-cultural and comparative studies. |
