Description: Prerequisite: MATH 206 with a C or better, or an ACT Math score of 24, or a SAT Math score of 550; and MATH 301 (or concurrently). An introduction to the principles of thermodynamics and their applications to atmospheric structure and dynamics. Includes the study of relationships among pressure, temperature, density, internal energy, entropy, atmospheric interaction with gravity, and the central role of water in atmospheric dynamics.
