Description: Prerequisite: CHE 211, CHE 331, CHE 351. This course introduces engineering principles related to operations involving biological processes. Principles include basic microbiology and biochemistry, enzyme kinetics, cell growth and death kinetics, mass transport. Applications to food, pharmaceuticals and waste treatment are emphasized.
